The last two newsletters have been an indictment against the U.S. by God;s Word. Based on the Word of God, when a nation becomes “Apostate” (forsaking God) then the next step is being delivered by God to a “Reprobate mind”. A Reprobate mind is defined in Romans 1:28 as God “giving up on a man or a nation to themselves and their sins” after many warnings. Read Romans 1:18-28 covered in previous newsletters. When the condition of “Reprobation” has been reached by a nation what follows is a list of sins that characterize that Apostate/Reprobate nation’s condition. We can see this has happened to the U.S. as a whole today. See the lists of sins that appearance to that individual or nation when that state occurs in Romans 1:29-32 and 2nd Timothy 3:1-9. It would do you all well to read those Scriptures to see what is happening and why I say it is too late for the U.S. to turn back to God and His blessings.
The answer to the question: Is the U.S. too far gone to return to God? Can be answered in the following verse. Found in 2nd Chronical 7:14.
“If my people which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray and see my face, and turn from, their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land”.
Keep in mind the verse in Jeremiah 32:27, “Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?” In another verse, God told Abraham the same thing in Genesis 18:14 in regard to Abraham and Sarah having a child at 99 and 90 years old respectfully. Knowing that God is capable of forgiving and restoring the U.S. to a nation blessed by Him according to the above mentioned verse in 2nd Chronicles 7:14 BUT it is up to God’s people to initiate that forgiveness by God. The Reprobate nation will NOT do it! Lets break down that verse and see what are the prerequisites of God “forgiving” a people and “healing a land”.
First al all, the responsibility starts with God’s people not the unbelievers but the believers! “If my people which are call by my name ” means just what it says God’s people have to follow a process that God requires for Him to forgive and restore a nation. The word “IF” is basically saying that if God’s people don’t do the following things sincerely then it stops right there and goes no further! So it is a great responsibility the believers have to “get right” with God. God is NOT telling the lost, those that are not His children that He doesn’t know, to do anything because they won’t and they can’t by the very fact that they are “without God and without hope, See: Ephesians 2:13 And they do the deeds of their father, the Devil! See: John 8:44 If you are trusting the U.S. Government, the Department of Justice, the Whitehouse, the U.S. Congress, the U.S. Military, Law enforcement agencies, the educational system and the main stream media to follow what 2nd Chronicles 7:14 says; You will be disappointed. The reason is the majority working in these agencies are unbelievers and they will NOT allow it! In fact, they are the cause why the U.S. is in the state it is and has been for over 100 years or more! They not only resist God and His Word but have pleasure in the situation the U.S. is in presently. See Romans 1:32!
The only hope for the Lord to “forgive and restore” the U.S. back to Him will come from Bible Believing Churches and REAL believers. I say “REAL” believers and Bible believing Churches because many of those I know personally after traveling around the U.S. 2 years preaching as a missionary found VERY FEW CHURCHES standing by the Word of God completely uncompromisingly! In fact, I found families that couldn’t even find a Church in their area that was preaching and living the Word of God so they had small home churches with their families and others in their area,kind of like the Book of Acts. I really enjoyed those meetings more than the “Big” Churches I was in do to their sincerity, honesty and heart felt prayers as well as feeling the presence of the Spirit of God in the meetings!
Let me say that not only have I seen the Spiritual “coldness” of the Churches throughout America as I traveled for 2 years preaching in many, many Churches but I have as of last week November 12th been a Believer and Born Again for 45 years! In that time period I’ve seen and been a part of preaching in Churches “on fire” for the Lord in 4 different continents. I’ve preached in East Germany when it was still under the “Iron Curtain” where in an underground Church under penalty of prison and even death believers met. I’ve been PERSONALLY involved in smuggling printing materials to print Bibles into Yugoslavia while under communistic rule. I’ve started three Bible institutes in Massachusetts, Nigeria and in the Dominican Republics to train men and women in the Word of God to reach lost souls. In Nigeria, we had over 80,000 the Word of God on our Bible correspondence course named “Home Studies International”. Many came to know the Lord and many were Muslims that were cast out by their families for believing in Jesus as their Savior.
One non-Muslim man traveled 8 hrs.. to get more supplies from us because he had over 200 people meeting in his house after the Catholic Priest threw him out of the Catholic Church for preaching the Bible and the TRUE Gospel. I’ve preached in preacher’s conferences were the altar was full of Pastors asking God to revive them! There are many more stories I could write about here but the reason why I mentioned these few is because I am NOT TRYING to “toot my own horn” but to let you all know I’ve seen and KNOW the difference between people excited and serious about serving the Lord Jesus and witnessing for Him and those who are complacent Spiritually because they are NOT saved and He doesn’t know them or are backslidden and refuse to step out to serve Him because it cost them too much! Today the majority of the Churches in the U.S. are dead or are dying and only existing without knowing God’s Word or having the “zeal of the Lord” for Him! Don’t take me wrong because I did find Churches that were standing for God and His Word but they were few and far between especially knowing how many 100’s of thousands of Churches were not and are basically “Spiritual businesses” under the guise of a Church! And that is the reason why America is in the Spiritually Decayed State it is in other words; Apostate and Reprobate!
Many of the so-called “love” Churches that exist today are more concerned with offerings, the music ministry, personal activities, dress codes and even Mary Kay sales than winning souls for Christ by preaching repentance from sin and deliverance from Hell. Hell is not a popular topic today in the majority of Churches as well as winning souls by going into the “highways and byways” compelling people to come to God’s house to hear His Word. Many churches have gone to “Worship” services to bring people in for an hour or so of singing then quick watered-down non-confrontational message to NOT OFFEND so these people so their Church will be filled. See 1st Peter 2:1-10.
We are supposed to have Jesus as our example 1st Peter 2:21 and He went to the streets, to the poor, to the brokenhearted, to the captives, to those in prisons. He was called a winebibbers and a glutton because he was seen with those that drink wine and met at dinners and feasts. When was the last time you saw a Pastor of a large church minister on the streets, feeding the poor at a rescue mission or passing the Word of God out in downtown locations and witnessing publicly wherever the go? Is that what Jesus did? He was and is the King of Glory, the Creator of the universe and that is what He did? A preacher named, D.L. Moody, uneducated and without degrees, was in Europe preaching to huge crowds with many coming to Christ without gimmicks but ONLY with the Word of God was asked by a group of Pastors why he was so successful in leading men, women and children to the LORD. He told the group of Pastors to look upon the crowd and asked them what they saw. They observed different people from different levels of society, a mix of people from all walks of life.
He told the Pastors, what I see are souls that if they don’t come to Jesus as their Savior, they will spend eternity in Hell!
Then he said that was the difference! Jesus, preached more about Hell than He did about Heaven.
The modern message of the Gospel is watered down to where it is “cleaned up” and made “non-offensive” to the point that if a man just says Jesus,I love you then he is saved without ever learning the true Gospel found in 1st Corinthians 15:1-4 and without God ever knowing him! See Galatians 4:9, but also read Galatians 1:6-10 about another Gospel being preached today. Matthew 7:22-23 you can read about the deception that many will be deceived by at the last judgement before they are cast into eternal damnation. Look at what JESUS SAID! “MANY will say to me (Jesus) in that day (Judgement Day), Lord, Lord, have we not PROPHESIED in thy name? (Jesus name) and in thy name (Jesus name) have cast out devils? and in thy name (Jesus name) done many wonderful works? And then will I profess (Jesus), unto them (those that said they did all those things for Jesus), I NEVER KNEW YOU; DEPART FROM ME, (Jesus) YE THAT WORK INIQUITY. (Emphasis mine).
Read again Galatians 4:9 then read Matthew 13:18-23 and you will see the only heart that received God’s Word with an “understanding” and “sincere” heart to be saved was the last one mentioned in verse 23! Please my friend, I am NOT trying to make anyone doubt they are saved and fear going to Hell, but does Jesus know you? That should be what you should ask yourself. When you “accepted” Jesus was it because you were pushed to call out to Jesus but NOT understanding” or in a “Worship service or concert” you cried and wanted Jesus and rejected the Devil or something similar to that? Most want Jesus and not the Devil so was raising your hand and asking Jesus to come to you was what you did? Look at Matthew 13:22 and think about it. My friend. I pray for all of you!
Is this type of preaching salvation the reason why the “Churches” in American are dead today and the U.S. is in a State of Apostacy/Reprobation? Now, if REAL Believers that Jesus knows,will do what it says in 2nd Chronicles 7:14 God can and will hear those prayers and heal the U.S! Lets look at what that verse requires.
First God is asking His people, His children that He knows: “Shall humble themselves” submit to the Lord, admit to the Lord of our need of Him and Him as King and authority in all areas of our lives.
Secondly, “Pray” – Call out to our Father. Do you pray to Him as a Father with sincere words like you do with your earthly Father or do you recite prayers? Jesus said about that type of prayer that, “When you prayest, use NOT vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall by heard for their much speaking,” Matthew 6:7 That is NOT a prayer that God hears according to Jesus!
Thirdly, “Seek My face”, According to Jeremiah, 29:13, Deuteronomy 4:29, 1st Chronicles 28:9 Isaiah 55:6, Acts 17:27 and others; If a man or woman seek God with a sincere heart, he will find Him!
Fourthly, “And turn from their wicked ways” – Turning is repenting from sin and forsaking the sin by confessing them to Him not another man and forgiveness will be given. 1st John 1:9 says it perfectly, “If we (real believers, which Jesus knows) confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness” (Emphasis mine)
After humbling oneself, praying to Him, seeking His direction and guidance and turning to Him in repentance for sin. Then God says, “Then I will hear from Heaven and heal your land”! This is what it will take for the U.S. to be brought back to God. When God’s people get serious and come back to Him, He will forgive and heal our land! This is what we need to pray for and do! It is up to the Real Believers, the REAL Born Again believers to turn our country around and doing that it will bring others to Him as a result, “Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men” 2nd Corinthians 3:2.
