In today’s session, we shared a few scriptures from Proverbs 15, focusing on verse 1: “A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.” This powerful proverb reminds us of the strength found in gentle words and the wisdom of responding with calmness rather than harshness.
When we respond gently, we often find that it softens others’ hearts and defuses potential conflicts. On the other hand, responding with “grievous” or harsh words stirs up anger and tension. In our prayer group, we see the value in choosing words that build peace and understanding, reflecting the love and patience of Christ in all we say.
As we pray for one another, let’s also pray for wisdom in our speech, asking God to help us respond with grace and kindness, even in challenging moments.
