Jordan Grenon Newsletter – Preaches about prophecy.

Dear brothers and sisters in the Faith,

God is good!

That could be the whole newsletter but I will go on haha. The other day I spoke on prophecy with the Bible study I attended and would like to share it with you all.

Before I do so I would like to thank you all, God has blessed us and I got to see my mother and sister in law this past weekend because of your loving donations and gifts. I cannot earn money for my family so everything we get is because of you. A special thank you to Nina and Steve (you know who you are!) It was great to see my mom and sister in law up-close after so long, over 4 years ago. Last time I saw them it was at a distance at the sentencing October of last year and it was a hard time. God bless you all and may His word bless your mind and soul.

A few weeks ago at the end of a Bible study the study leader said he had a gift for us. so He gave 7 of us verses from Corinthians and it was the gifts of the Spirit. I got prophecy! He said to make it short so I started slow but then when the time came and other people shared their “gifts” I felt like I should make it a little longer so here is what it ended up being.

Prophecy means:

To speak by inspiration, a prediction word or written.

In the Bible Moses spoke of a Prophet to come. Deuteronomy 18:15

“The LORD thy God will raise up unto thee a Prophet from the midst of thee, of thy brethren, like unto me; unto him ye shall harken;”

God is going to send someone great to Israel, it will come from one of the people of Israel, and we know He will come from the line of David. More importantly He is a prophet who will prophesy and people should listen to him! Gods divine Word (Inspiration) is coming.

What is a false prophet?

Deuteronomy 18:22

“When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.”

You will know a false prophet when it has not come to pass. You will also know who is a false prophet if it edifies the church (body of Christ) or doesn’t. I will speak more on that later.

So we know there are true and false prophets. In Jeremiah 5:31 it says

“The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?”

I spoke on this verse because it has 3 parts, possible 4. It reflects much of what goes on today.

1. There are prophets and they are prophesying falsely

2. Priests bear rule by their means

3. people love to have it so

4. what will ye do in the end thereof?

Today we have people speaking for God, many false religious leaders speaking on prosperity and love but not on the truths of God. We have priests and governments ruling by their means (by the means of the false prophets or by the means the positions and power the priests have and abuse?)

People love to have it so. Why do humans want to give in to someone in power? We were made to worship but Only God deserves worship, when we direct it to something or someone else we lose who we are. People would rather trust in a human, celebrity or politician than wait on the Lord Our God!

What will you do?

God is talking to Israel His people and asking what will you do with all this corruption and false worship.

What happened soon after, Israel did not turn away from sin and turn to God so it was destroyed by sinful men, Babylon.

What will happen to us in our individual lives and to the country we live in (regardless of where you live in the world). Pray God turns your country around before it falls too far.

We should keep the sayings of prophecy. Revelation 22:7

“Behold, I come quickly; blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book”

The book Jesus is talking about is what He is revealing to John in revelation. I believe it also speaks of keeping the Word of God.

Revelation 22:18-19 is what happens if we abuse the Word of God.

“For I testify unto every man that hearth the words of the prophecy of this book, if any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:”

19″ And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”

We can all prophesy. We can speak with divine inspiration about truth in the bible and about God. We can share the Truth and The TRUTH, Jesus Christ, we can prophesy of the future when we share Jesus’ Words of what is to come. As long as we share the Word of God we use the gift of Prophecy.

Now the harder part. How do we know when someone has the gift of prophesy that Paul spoke of?

While it is impossible to know if something said will come to pass, in 1st Corinthians 14:3-5 it tells us what prophesying should do

“But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.”

4″ He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church”

5″ I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.”

I also believe God can use people prophesying to speak to us. If one man says “I feel God wants you to go to Nigeria” Then you pray and seek God’s will. Then maybe someone completely different says “I feel God wants you to go to Nigeria”. It can be impossible for that person to know someone else said the same words but maybe God is using them as confirmation. Test everything with prayer.

Finally 2nd Peter 1:19-21 shows us that we should always interpret prophecy by the scriptures.

19″We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts”

20″Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.”

21″For prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.”

Thank you all for reading.

Thank you for your blessings and prayers. If you or anyone wants to know how you can help my family continue in these hard times first of all please Pray. Pray for strength, pray for peace, pray that we always seek God’s will and wait on Him.

If anyone would like to communicate with us through email you would have to contact Dick Green and have him send us your email to approve it. If anyone is willing or knows how to do research on jail things or rules, laws, codes, etc… I am trying to move down to Coleman Florida to be closer to my family. I am currently in new jersey but they say I have to wait 18 months before “requesting” to be moved. I hear there are other ways but if anyone is able to look up stuff or be persistent in helping us it would be very appreciated.

Thank you, God bless

Please send this letter to John MacArthur. Maybe this church can help the Grenon boys in some way. I thought a response from a Pastor like yourself may take more notice charitably.
