The great counterfeit religion was called Roman Catholicism. She was raised up to block the gospel, slaughter the believers in Christ, establish religions, create wars and make the nations drunk with the wine of her fornication/idolatry.
I went over examples such as the Inquisition, Holocaust, World wars and much more. Yep, Hitler was supported by the Roman Catholic church.
But never forget people, that God is just and He will do justice.
It says in Rev. 19:1-2-“And after these things I heard a great voice of much people in heaven, saying, Alleluia; Salvation, and glory, and honor, and power, unto the Lord our God: For true and righteous are His judgements: for He hath judged the great whore, which did corrupt the earth with her fornication, and hath avenged the blood of His servants at her hand.”
This is why I say: “Come out of her”, come out of everything that is against the Lord our God. You only will be able to through Jesus Christ our LORD and Saviour.
Then I gave my testimony of Indjomar, my friend and teammate in college. When I was playing baseball 20 years ago, I went to Muscle Shoals Community College for a semester. I decided to not continue playing baseball because I wanted to return to the Dominican Republic and soon thereafter marry my girlfriend. Which turned out great because we are blessed with 5 boys and we still are married, although separated because of this trial in our lives. Hopefully the LORD will bring us back together again soon. And that everything will work out great again. But that isn’t the point in Indjomar’s testimony. When I met him, we got talking and I found out he was raised Catholic. A cultural and family thing. So, I said let’s get together and I will show you why Catholism is against the Word of God. We would discuss things and argue a bit. But I kept at it and he could see through the Bible that what I said was true. But he didn’t accept it way back then. But I kept showing him the love of God and didn’t push him aside, I kept being his friend and talking with him. Most people just give up, but I didn’t. At that time, I thought, will anything ever come out of this? So, before I was kidnapped and locked up (because whether you like it or not, the “US government” kidnapped us) I saw on his Facebook that he was getting married and that he was a believer now, a born-again believer. That made me feel so good, that I took part in him coming to Christ. Just by planting the seed of truth in his life. So, if anyone says I don’t love the Catholic people, that is far from the truth. I love them so much that I tell them the truth knowing that they might reject me and not want to have anything to do with me. I risk friendship and even family to make sure that they hear the truth. True love is telling that person the truth of the Word of God. Don’t hold back people, speak Truth.
Following Indjomar’s testimony, my brother Arturo came to the pulpit and was calling on anyone who would like to get saved or anyone in need of prayer. 3 men came to the front, 1 to continue to dedicate his life to the LORD and 2 others who received salvation. I led them to the LORD, praise His Holy Name. Seems the evil one was a bit upset because there has been a stirring in the compound, spiritually speaking of course. But that is a good thing, seeing the Word of God not return void, which it never does.
UPDATE: After my sermon the other day on 05/31. Men have come up to me saying, that they wished they hadn’t missed that sermon and these were not only Spanish speaking guys that didn’t attend, they were English speaking guys also. They said even if they didn’t understand the language, they would have had someone interpret it for them. Also, others encouraging me and saying no one shares messages like that anymore, keep going, don’t give up. But one situation really stood out to me. As I was coming out of the chow hall, I saw one of the chaplains who I usually say hi to. As I passed him, I said God bless you brother and he looked at me and said I need to speak with you. So, he pulled me aside and with much struggle was telling me that a guy complained about the sermon I had preached on Saturday. It seems an inmate that is a Catholic was offended and let the chaplain know. The chaplain said it was his job to let me know. So, I told him that I was very clear when I said I love the Catholic people, I even have family that is Catholic. I only was warning them of the system, and how evil it has been and what is to come of it, according to the Word of God. He, the chaplain who is a believer said I know and believe what you say. But I have to just let you know, that is my job. I told him Sir, you don’t know why I am here, but my dad, 2 brothers and I were arrested for serving the LORD Jesus Christ. If you think that this government allows freedom of speech, then you are wrong, persecution is happening right here and right now and it will only get worse for us believers. So, I gave him my short and quick testimony of why we are here. And that I am called to preach the Truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to warn the people of this world of the evil that wants to stay hidden, as Jesus exposed the evil religious system, so must I. He then said that on the outside its different and people can say more of what they want, in here it can cause problems. So, I said, Sir, this is why the world is in the situation it is in, and the USA also. We want to preach messages that please people and we don’t care to please God, that is why it is only going to get worse. Most of the so called “believers” don’t have any backbone, they don’t stand for the truth. So, if I am not allowed to preach here, then I will always find another way to get the message out, but I will not change or adjust my message. Before I left, he said “brother, you keep on going, don’t stop.” I said, I can’t stop, the LORD won’t let me. It is all of Him, He is the fire inside me.
So, as I walked away, I felt the LORD give me that wink I talk about. Like, “Jonathan David, my son, you just keep serving Me, everything will work out just fine”. I have felt a breakthrough in my life since that message and it has made me think that we must press on and breakthrough the barriers the enemy has built around us. Once you have a breakthrough in the spiritual realm, it does something marvelous in the physical realm. More bands and chains break from your mind and the enemy loses another stronghold.
I hope that this sermon and Newsletter encourages everyone to press on, to never give up. Although it feels like you can’t even put one foot in front of another, trust the LORD and take that step. It will all fall into place, have faith my fellow brothers and sisters. This is our time now to stand against the wiles of the devil. May God bless and guide us,
